Pedal the Cause announced today that Pam Mandelker has assumed the role of Director of Development, overseeing all corporate partnerships and leading organizational fundraising efforts.

Mandelker joins Pedal the Cause after a distinguished 23-year development career with COCA, the country’s fourth-largest community arts center. Most recently serving as Director of Advancement, Mandelker spurred the organization’s growth and expansion through a $50 million fundraising campaign, establishing individual giving programs and cultivating corporate partnerships and support.

“Pam’s vision, insight and expertise will be instrumental in our continued growth as an organization,” said David Drier, Executive Director of Pedal the Cause. “We are thrilled to build upon the incredible foundation established over the last 13 years and eager to make an even more meaningful impact in creating a world without cancer.” 

Mandelker’s connection and commitment to Pedal the Cause’s mission is personal, having lost her mother to a rare form of cancer.

“As a career fundraiser, I pledged in my heart that one day, I would find a significant way to support cancer research, I am extremely excited to bring my decades of fundraising experience to this wonderful organization and to join the Pedal the Cause team.”

In 2021 Pedal the Cause raised more than $4.1 million through its annual peer-to-peer cycling event. Registration and fundraising have begun for 2022.
